Global Exposure through the Dual-Campus Program

Introduction: Alliance Group of Institutions was founded by an eminent group of academics and industry leaders who are graduates of some of the top universities in the world. Since its inception, Alliance has pursued an ambitious exponential growth trajectory, which is reflected in its many significant achievements and accomplishments.
Alliance has received several accreditations and accolades. Alliance is accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE), USA, one of three premier management education accrediting bodies in the world. Alliance has recently established a Management School in the Republic of Singapore.
Alliance Business School Singapore has been approved by the Ministry of Education, Singapore, and has also established the necessary requirements through the CASE Trust Scheme of Escrow and approvals. The School offers various professional courses of study with an objective of creating world class managers.
The Postgraduate Program offered at Alliance has the most contemporary and innovative curriculum, designed to enhance students' knowledge and experience, providing them with the skills and tools necessary for global leadership positions. Students will broaden their perspectives, enabling them to approach problems not only from multiple functional and strategic viewpoints, but also from cross cultural and ethical perspectives as well.
Alliance's Postgraduate Program is an academically rigorous program that brings contemporary management theories and practices into the classroom. Students complete the entire program in twenty-one months spread over eight terms. As part of the program, students are required to work on an internship project in an organization for eight to ten weeks.

Students enrolled in the Dual-Campus program will spend their first year at Alliance Campus in Singapore followed by an industry internship program either in India or abroad. After completing their internship, students will continue their second year at Alliance, Bangalore. Further, students completing their first year of study at Alliance, Singapore, will also receive an Advanced Certificate in Management (approved by the Singapore Ministry of Education).
Global Partnerships:
In addition to the dual-campus opportunity, students completing their first year of study at Singapore are also eligible to transfer credits to the following universities for completing their program:
  • University of Michigan Flint School of Management (www.umflint.edu), USA.

Alliance and the University of Michigan, USA, have an Articulation Agreement that facilitates transfer of courses between the two major institutions. According to the Articulation Agreement, students admitted to the Postgraduate Program at Alliance may transfer their course of study undertaken at Alliance, Singapore, and upon meeting the stipulated academic requirements, transfer credits towards the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the University of Michigan Flint School of Management. All students admitted into the Postgraduate Program at Alliance are eligible to transfer their coursework through this Articulation Agreement for pursuing an MBA from Michigan.

Alliance and FDU have entered into an Articulation Agreement that will enable students enrolled in the Postgraduate Program at Alliance, Singapore, the opportunity to transfer courses and continue their course of study at FDU, New Jersey, USA. Students continuing their course of study at FDU will be awarded the MBA degree by FDU.

The admission process at Alliance is competitive and only the highest quality students are selected - students who have already clearly demonstrated exceptional academic achievements and who also show greater potential for excellence.

Requirements for Admission: Students seeking admission to this program should have completed Bachelor/Master Degree Examination of any recognized education body in Commerce, Management, Arts, Sciences, Engineering, Technology or equivalent with at least 50% marks in aggregate. The candidate should have also performed well in one of the management aptitude tests. Preference would be given to candidates with work experience and special achievements, in the selection process. Short listed candidates are invited to visit the campus for the Alliance Admission Selection Process. Final selection will be based on the overall performance of the candidate.

Summer Internship Program: Student Internship Program: Students are required to work in an organization for eight to ten weeks during the program. This internship is designed to integrate classroom instruction, career goals and work related experience. A satisfactory completion of this internship training is a pre-requisite for a student to graduate from the program. The placement division of the institute will assist students in securing suitable projects in various corporations and businesses. Several students have pursued their internships abroad including the United States of America.

Dissertation: In addition to the industry internship, the program requires graduating students to submit a dissertation in Term VIII. The work for the dissertation will start in Term VI and continue through Terms VII and VIII. The dissertation is intended to enable students to select a topic in their specialization area and write a comprehensive thesis. The dissertation will give the student an opportunity to exhibit domain specific knowledge, skills and abilities acquired in the program and the innovativeness in researching a topic. Written and research skills are also emphasized in the dissertation

  • All efforts will be made to ensure that students selected in the dual-campus program will receive appropriate visa from the Republic of Singapore to pursue studies at Alliance Business School, Singapore. However, in the event that a student is not granted a visa for any reason, the student expressly agrees not to hold Alliance responsible for it. In such an eventuality, the student may choose to pursue studies at Alliance campus in Bangalore or receive fee refund as applicable.
