University of Michigan-Flint (UM-Flint) School of Management is fully
accredited by AACSB-International, the premier accreditation agency in
the United States of America for university level business programs. Of
the approximately 1,400 universities currently offering business
programs in the USA, fewer than 400 are accredited by AACSB-International. |
| Students admitted to this
program will complete two terms (six months) of Postgraduate Program in
Management (PGPM) coursework from Alliance and upon
meeting the stipulated academic requirements, transfer all credits
towards the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the
University of Michigan-Flint. Upon completion of the PGPM coursework and
at least 30 specified graduate credit hours at UM-Flint, students fulfill the
requirements for graduation from UM-Flint with the degree of Master of
Business Administration. |
| The MBA program at the University of Michigan-Flint is designed to
educate individuals to think effectively about solutions to contemporary
challenges faced by management. The program's focus is on learning and
applying the principles of problem solving. Emphasis is placed on developing skills and techniques
required in implementing decisions. The approach to decision making is
quantitative and analytical. The curriculum also focuses on leadership,
communication, business and society, international business, and working
in teams. |

| Duration: |
| The MBA program can be
completed in 24 months - 6 months on the Alliance's
campus in Bangalore, India and the remaining 18 months on the University
of Michigan's Flint Campus in the USA. This is a
full-time course of study at both Alliance and UM-Flint. |
| Admission Requirements: |
| Admission requirements
for the ABS- UMF MBA program are similar to the admission
requirements of the PGPM program of Alliance. |
| Students seeking
admission to the ABS-UMF MBA Program should have passed the Bachelor's
degree/Master's degree examination of any recognized education body in
Engineering, Commerce or Management and secured a first class. A high
score in GMAT is essential. |
| Visa Procedure: |
| In order to apply for a
student visa to the USA, students require an I-20 and other supporting
documents. Students admitted in the program will receive an I-20
document from the University of Michigan in the second term of their
course of study at Alliance, upon producing proper financial affidavit of
support and other documents. Alliance and UM-Flint will provide necessary help in
facilitating the visa process. In the event VISA is denied the student
can continue with the Alliance-PGPM program. |
| Bank Loans: |
| Alliance has established
relationships with many banks in Bangalore (e.g., Central Bank, Corporation Bank, HSBC, Dena
Bank, Punjab National Bank, etc.). Students who require student
loans from banks may apply to the banks upon their admission to
Alliance. |
